The Tech Store Service Center will set up your new device and repair or maintain your old devices.
Purchasing a new computer from the Tech Store? For an additional $49 (plus tax), our Service Center will perform operating system updates, bios updates, load Chrome and Firefox and pre-install Microsoft Office apps. Add New Device Setup to Your Cart
Apple iPhone Services
- Diagnostic $19: Run iOS or OS updates, resolve issues and physically clean the cell phone - Union location
- iPhone series 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 Battery and Screen repair - Union location - prices vary by model
Repairs Under Warranty
Get your device repaired at little or no cost for issues covered under warranty. This includes:
- Dell devices purchased from the Tech Store or through the UA System contract. Check Dell Warranty Status
- Apple devices* MB Air, MB Pro, iMac, and Studio currently under warranty. Check Apple Warranty Status
- Microsoft Surface models purchased from the Tech Store are eligible for advance exchange depot service.
*We also offer additional protection plans (AppleCare+ and Dell Pro Support Plus) to cover accidental damage repairs for new device purchases.
*Operating system corruption or virus removal are not covered under warranty.
Non-Warranty Repairs
Is your Dell or Apple device out of warranty? No problem! Bring your unit in for a diagnostic and we will provide a quote for repair.
- Diagnostic $49: Diagnose the problem and supply a quote for repair that includes labor and parts. If repair is approved diagnostic fee is applied to cost of repair.
- Data Backup & Recovery $20-$99: Backup, recover or transfer to new system or external hard drive up to 500GB.
- Operating System Reload $79-$99: Clean operating system reload or operating system reload with data back-up.
- Virus Removal $79: Remove virus and/or malware and reinstall operating system, data back-up not included.
- Advanced Services $99: Disassemble, install parts, reassemble and test.
Rates are general estimates for labor only. Cost of parts and/or software not included.
Smart Bar - Tech Support for Personally Owned Technology
Sales Associates offer walk-up technical assistance to individuals that need advice with their technology. If the problem relates to a software application provided by the institution the customer will be directed to the Help Desk in the Union or 479-575-HELP. If the experience of a certified technican is required the customer has the option to check the computer in for a diagnostic fee of $49. If the customer proceeds with the recommended repair by the technician the diagnostic fee will be applied to the labor total.
New Device Set-Up and Free Data Transfer
When you purchase a new computer from the Tech Store we offer a free data transfer from your old functioning computer. Purchasing a New Device Set-Up from the Tech Store gets the computer up to date and ready for class, excluding college or course specific applications.
- $49:An authorized technician removes the new computer from the box, runs all operating system, bios and driver updates, loads the campus Microsoft 365 package as well as Chrome and Firefox.
Dell Warranty Ownership Transfer
- Own a Dell computer not purchased from the Tech Store? Use this link to transfer the warranty so the Tech Store Service Center can repair it.

- It may take 7-10 business days for the transfer to complete
- Note - transferring warranty ownership does NOT transfer the computer ownership only the warranty contract.
